I discovered my interest in data analytics while earning my Master's degree in Hydrogeology at San Francisco State University.
My research quantified the effect of climate variability (El Niño/La Niña years) on agricultural water resources and use. Specifically, I answered questions about how periods of winter storms and drought affected the availability and amount of water used by farmers for their crops.
After graduation I decided to pursue a career in data science. I joined SharpestMinds at the end of 2019 after spending the summer and fall learning Python, SQL, and the foundations of machine learning. During my mentorship, I built my end-to-end data product, Friendshipify, while continuing my program of self study.
After spending this past year building my app and bridging any knowledge gaps I had coming from the geosciences, I'm looking for my first data role.
